Our mission

we uphold and promote the cultural legacy of handcrafting that is unique to Bethlehem

Our mission is twofold. First and foremost, we uphold and promote the cultural legacy of handcrafting that is unique to Bethlehem, the cradle of Christianity, by training artisans in centuries-old craftsmanship and by encouraging innovation for a living artform. Second, we ensure the preservation of our artistic heritage by creating meaningful work for artists to generate stable income for their families.

To achieve our mission, we take into consideration all aspects of responsible production. As a social business, we re-invest 100% of our revenues into the Center to continue to foster job creation and encourage economic stability. We are attentive to the health of our artists, prioritizing a safe and healthy work environment for all. We pay fair prices for our materials and fair wages to our artisans. Lastly, we are committed to creating high quality and authentic works of art that will never be made anywhere but in Bethlehem
